Now, years later, Im doing a bit of freelance work for them, but I dont have access to that plugin. Im wondering if Logic Studios limiter would be good as well, but all of my sound design is happening from within Reaper, so Id prefer something that I could use there. Running OS X, btw. Limiter No 6 Plugin Download The TrialSure, it technically isnt free and I recommend buying it to support the company but.if you download the trial version; it works completely as the full paid version for as long as you like as it is non-timebombed. The only difference with the paid version is the trial will not bypass or automate and every time you close your session its parameters will reset. It sounds way better than the L2 on my opinion and should you wish to buy it; its only 89. EDIT: spelling level 2 8 points 6 years ago Just came here to post the exact same thing. I know, theyre supposed to be clean, but I think they add a flavor that I dont like. I use it when I need to slam a limiter while still trying to keep it sounding relatively natural. I find myself reaching for the l3-16 now because I have it but for quick and dirty level boosting loud max is my go to. If you want something thats as simple to use, with similar results, LoudMax is the best Ive found.
